planning for philly

I have a good temp job now..and it will run until late February. I aim to save about $3k….and head west to Philly. I’ve had it with NYC and the prices. Plus I’m being forced out by family…it’s an ugly situation. This place isn’t even on the market yet and…yet, the idea is for me to be out between Feb and Apr 2010. Yikes.
I’m seeking admin/clerical/support work , target salary $25,000…tho I’m OK wth $20k-22k…As long as it’s $11-13 per hour. I want also to get into the city’s music scene in some way. I have 2 resumes on Google you can view:

I will have time only on Saturday’s to tour the city and see what the areas are like. Looks pretty walkable so far. I would love to add a 6th workday and just work Saturday in Philly…just for the experience..and parlay it into a full time gig. If such a thing exists. Problem: I don’t quite know how to search for a full time job in another city 6-8 months down the road while I have this temp job occupying my time. Any ideas???
